“Savor the Bronx” Restaurant Week Drives Summer Foot Traffic to Local Eateries

By Ethan Marshall

THE BRONX, NY — The annual “Savor the Bronx” Restaurant Week is officially underway, providing a major economic boost to small businesses and minority-owned eateries across the borough.

Organized in partnership with the Bronx Tourism Council and local merchant associations, the culinary initiative runs through the end of the month, highlighting the diverse food landscapes of neighborhoods like Arthur Avenue, Grand Concourse, and City Island. This year’s event features specialized fixed-price menus and promotional discounts at dozens of participating sit-down restaurants, bakeries, and cafes.

Organizers emphasize that the initiative is more than just a food festival; it is a strategic effort to stimulate the local economy, keep community dollars within the borough, and combat the traditional summer slowdown that many neighborhood restaurants face. Residents are encouraged to explore outside their immediate neighborhoods to support local culinary entrepreneurs.

Key details for diners and businesses include:

Community Impact: The event aims to keep local dining dollars close to home and highlight the Bronx’s diverse culinary landscape, ranging from Latin and Caribbean cuisines to classic Italian and seafood.

Participation: Dozens of independent spots across the borough are offering special deals, with no registration fee for restaurants to ensure accessibility for small operators.

Menu Requirements: Participating establishments must provide a prix-fixe menu or a #stb2026 discount, with taxes and beverages excluded from the special pricing.

Accessibility: Diners can view participating menus, an interactive map, and sign-up information at ilovethebronx.com/savor-the-bronx

As sponsors, From The Bronx printed the official Savor The Bronx pamphlet, which listed all participating restaurants and sponsors while directing diners to the event’s newly designed webpage on ilovethebronx.com—which saw an impressive 70,000 hits! The campaign also included restaurant features, influencer events, a celebrity dinner with Chazz Palminteri at Antonio’s Trattoria, and widespread media coverage, including a feature in the New York Daily News.

Seeing the growth and impact of Savor The Bronx has been incredible, and it was an honor to help highlight the amazing restaurants and culinary talent that make The Bronx such a vibrant food hub.
