Orchard Beach Pavilion Welcomes Hundreds as Free Summer Concert Series Launches

ORCHARD BEACH, NY — The rhythm of live music returned to the Bronx shoreline this week as Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson officially kicked off the 2026 Summer Concert Series at the Orchard Beach Pavilion.
The opening event drew hundreds of local families and visitors to the recently modernized historic venue, which has undergone a massive 114 million dollar restoration. Headliners Los Hermanos Moreno and Miriam Cruz filled the boardwalk with classic tropical and salsa sounds, celebrating the borough’s rich cultural ties to Latin America.
The concert series serves as a major community anchor during the peak summer months. Local organizers emphasize that the weekly free events offer critical, accessible recreational spaces for families. The concert series will continue to host live performances every Sunday afternoon from now through the end of August, featuring local vendors, food pop-ups, and a rotating lineup of iconic Bronx musicians.

The 2026 Bronx Summer Concert Series officially launched on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the newly renovated Orchard Beach Pavilion in the Bronx, New York. Hosted by the Office of the Bronx Borough President, the free, family-friendly event kicked off with performances by Los Hermanos Moreno, Luisito Rosario, Miriam Cruz, and DJ Ralphie Mercado, welcoming hundreds of attendees to the “Bronx Riviera.”
The series continues weekly with free live entertainment every Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. through September 6, 2026. This summer season marks the return of the concerts to the pavilion following its recent renovation, aiming to celebrate the borough’s vibrant culture and community spirit. Sponsors for the 2026 series include major local and regional organizations such as BronxCare Health System, Montefiore Einstein, StubHub, and EmblemHealth.

Whether it’s jazz on the Ludington waterfront, country music in Onekama or folk concerts in Baldwin, free summer music has become a tradition across the Lakeshore.
Communities throughout Mason, Manistee, Lake and Muskegon counties continue to fill parks, waterfronts and public gathering spaces with concerts and outdoor programs that give residents and visitors plenty of opportunities to enjoy live entertainment throughout the week.
Supported by arts organizations, volunteers and local sponsors, many of the series have become annual traditions while showcasing Michigan musicians alongside regional and touring performers.
Wednesdays belong to Ludington
Each Wednesday evening through Sept. 2, Waterfront Park becomes an outdoor concert venue as the Ludington Area Center for the Arts presents its Summer Concert Series along Pere Marquette Lake.
The concerts begin at 7 p.m. and feature an eclectic lineup spanning jazz, blues, rock, folk, Americana, funk and R&B. Long before the music begins, concertgoers begin spreading blankets across the lawn, unfolding lawn chairs and visiting with friends while waiting for the show to start. Donations collected during the evening help support the series.
Coming up: The Seth Bernard Quartet performs Wednesday, July 22. Bernard, a Michigan singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, blends folk, rock, soul and world music influences into energetic performances rooted in community and the Great Lakes region. Upcoming concerts include The Fabulous Horn Dogs on July 29 and Da’Veonce & DaFunk Gang on Aug. 5.
Music and nature share the stage
At Ludington State Park, summer evenings offer more than concerts.
The Friends of Ludington State Park’s amphitheater series combines live music with educational presentations featuring naturalists, historians and wildlife experts. Held at 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Saturdays, the programs range from folk and Celtic music to birds of prey, Great Lakes history and conservation topics.
